Interaction Design

Interaction design, often abbreviated as IxD, is “the practice of designing interactive digital products, environments, systems, and services. Beyond the digital aspect, interaction design is also useful when creating physical products, exploring how a user might interact with it. Common topics of interaction design include design, human-computer interaction, and software devalopment. While interaction design has an interest in form , its main area of focus rests on behavior. Rather than analyzing how things are, interaction design synthesizes and imagines things as they could be.

The 5 dimensions of interaction design:

He 5 dimensions of interaction design is a useful model to understand what interaction design involves. Gillian Crampton Smith, an interaction design academic, first introduced the concept of four dimensions of an interaction design language, to which Kevin Silver, interaction designer , added the fifth.

1D: Words
2D: Visual representations
3D: Physical objects or space
4D: Time
5D: Behaviour

Examples:

1.Data Oriented APP Design:

The file storage capacity presented in a pie graph in this file management application. It’s intuitive and simple to know the storage of each file at a glance. When one file storage changes, the other files’ storage capacity rate will make a corresponding interactive change.

2.Seeing Data:

This site is a dynamic information chart, it can provide users with information statistics and drawing charts.
